theaa.ie  AA Ireland employees find some great ways to bond, and we have a very active Sports & Social Committee that is always coming up with inventive ways for the team to get together.

This past weekend, AA staff from across every department in the business got together to climb Sugarloaf under the guidance of @wicklowmountainsguide

“We climbed to the top of Sugarloaf within a few minutes, and thought that it was tough, but not too bad until we realised we had only walked up the easy part and there were another three hours ahead, but it was really enjoyable and rewarding and a great way to meet with new and existing colleagues,” said AA Ireland’s Niamh Ferguson.

Just a quick line to say thanks to Damien for organising another beautiful hike. This sunday we did a hike of Kanturk & Scarr Mountain in Wicklow. Despite the weather at the beginning of hike I thoroughly enjoyed it!!  It’s just great to be out again. Damien is hugely experienced, knowledgeable and passionate regarding each hike he does. Aloha, My friend and I traveled 2 Ireland to hike The Wicklow Way. It was a bucket list trip 4 me! We stayed at The Loughdan House with Sean and Theresa. I had planned 4 us 2 hike South to North in 8 days. We were to have a guide . We met Damien Kennedy on our 1st day. He led us on 6 of the 8 days through The Wicklow Way. I would say we r novice hikers in International hiking. Damien is a great guide, he is very knowledgeable of this area! Everyday he was with us from beginning to end rain or shine or fog! Different terrain and challenges for 2 women from Hawaii. 7000 miles from our tiny island. Beautiful terrain and he he gave points of interest. I had read the book and never imaged how beautiful this area is. Damien made this trip very memorable and I would not hesitate to return and use his expertise to hike other places. We even made it 2 four pubs and learned to drink pints of Guinness! It is great that Sean and Theresa at Loughdan House use Damien as a guide. Mahalo from The 50th State.

We have done a number of guided hikes in Wicklow with Damien. 💯recommend Damien without hesitation for an expertly guided hike, with a relaxed approach, catering for all levels of fitness with care and consideration. Highly recommend this guided walk, Glendalough is a beautiful area.. The guide considered the different abilities of the group. Kept spirits high in the mist rain and was very informative of the area.. good craic had by all. Altogether a great experience.

I have been on four hikes now with WicklowMountainsGuide (Damien). I have really enjoyed them all, Damien has great knowledge of the history of Glendalough which makes for an interesting guide. I am an absolute beginner when it come to hiking and each time out I felt comfortably challenged, and encouraged by Damien. I would recommend WicklowMountainsGuide for all levels for a great day hiking
